Does the thought of organizing your teenager's bedroom make you tremble in fear? Well, fear not!

While it may be easier to follow the "KEEP OUT" sign that's invariably posted on their door, it's never too early to teach them better room organization.

As a team, you can begin by sorting items into categories (keep, donate, toss/recycle.) Then, return your “keep” items, storing "like" items with "like" items. Since teen rooms are used for sleeping, studying and entertaining, consider purchasing multi-use furniture like an ottoman with storage or a dresser/cabinet with a stowable writing surface. Solutions like these help add needed space; especially if the room is small.

Whether you decide to undertake the project yourself, or we join forces together, establishing good organization habits is a gift that lasts a lifetime! In the meantime, check out this article from HGTV for further reading on organizing your teen's bedroom!
